Idle issues
Had Rush mufflers installed at the dealer. Rode 100 or more miles stopped and had dinner. Started bike and it idles at 1200 to 1500. I can slightly twist throttle towards idle and it idles at 900. Any suggestions?

I would expect idle to be at 1000 rpm after engine is warm.Is there a mechanical issue with Your throttle or ETC ?If grip is installed too close to handle bar it can drag. But this does not relate in any way to having slip-ons installed?????

I don't think having the slipons had anything to do with the idle issue. It just happened right after. I have always had cable throttle I don't know anything about the new one. I have to ride 300 miles to get home. Should I be worried about anything getting worse?

Not sure I understand your issue. My bike idles, when warmed up, between 940-1050 rpms with a pretty good lope. A result of the new cam they put in the Rushmore H.O's. When cold, it idles between 1100 and 1250 rpms with no lope in it. Did it when stock, and still does it with the stage 1 done.

I would check to see if throttle grip has about 1/4 inch of play left to right from switch housing.If so, it is not dragging,if not,move the switch housing outward about 1/4 inch.
If the play is OK,then problem with ETC and a 300 mile ride.

Got up this morning and started bike, let it warm up and it idled back down to 1000 rpm on it's own. Rode from Natchez, MS to New Orleans the long way and not one problem with idle, go figure.
