In another thread a guy posted the best deal was Eastern Performance, ask for Pat at ext 202 and tell them Rick referred you. They sell a "kit" that is for your bike.
And where did you buy it from? An indy shop, a dealer, Walmart? Going out today and I'd like to pick up a couple of quarts...thanks!
My wife is an Amazon Prime member. I bought it where I buy everything, online. I ordered enough fluids and filters to get me through the 5 and 10K miles services as well. It's not as easy to come by as the on the shelf stuff, but it's worth the extra effort.
I just changed to the redline. Mainly because of this thread. Got it at Cycle Gear $16.
The clunk has never been excessive but the compensator rattle is annoying sometimes.
I used that in the primary, and Redline Shokproof in the trans. I was amazed at how smooth both are now. I was resigned to having to kill the engine to find neutral at times. Now it's a quick "snick" and it's there. Smooth and quiet through all the gears.
NEUTRAL!?! LOL my bike doesn't have neutral!! ... I think I'll switch next change too. Neutral would be handy.
Thanks to the tips here I used the dealer locator and found a Cycle Gear on my way home, picked up 2 quarts at $16 per. Harley dealer or my Indy shop didn't carry it. Counter guy said the R/L is 70W80 Synthetic, he said that's the only viscosity they have for Primary oil so I'm assuming that's the right one. Hope it will quiet the beast down a bit. Thanks to all...

Would really like to hear your feedback after you put it in, 'cause I have my doubts. I did try something else someone here suggested, when going from neutral to first, "pump the clutch a couple of times and move the bike backwards a little (couple inches) then put it in gear." I tried it yesterday and it slipped right into first with no clunk. Did you buy the RL Primary Case Oil as shown above or something other.
