Yesterday I get on my bike to go for a ride, and it turned over, but no start. And today, my warranty expires!! Called my dealer this morning, and they say they have no one to come and pick it up. I started getting pissed, and said what kind of customer service is that. So I called back and talked to my salesman, explained the situation, so he said he would look into it. Called back and said they called their driver in and he would pick it up. He had to drive 60 miles to get it, and I had to take four hrs of time off work, but I guess worth it. Was really starting to get pissed until they changed their tune. Spent 50 grand over there in the last five years. So, all in all, good outcome.
By the way, if you are able to document a call to the dealer that the bike is having difficulty and the delay is on the part of the dealership, I am certain that the service will be covered.
Also, might be a good time to consider an extended warrenty contract - if you are worried.
My Ultra did this just a couple of weeks ago right before the 1 year mark & end of my HOG membership. Turned out to be the ignition coil. Would start Rumble Rumble die, start Rumble Rumble die
Best of luck & glad it's going to be covered under warranty. Let us know what they find.
I'll tag along on this one incase it happens to me I'll know what to look for.. Dam warranty.
Cost as much as cars but only gets 2 years.
I could buy the extended warranty but with just a few mods, I doubt they would cover stuff and use the excuses not to.
