If your bike is a 2015, I doubt there'd be a newer version of the maps than the one you currently have!
Maps are usually about 2 years out of date so I wouldn't think there's a new release on the way anytime soon.
As far as I'm aware you can't download anything other than the HD maps. Google definitely wouldn't work...
Maybe I should clarify, when I say maps what I mean is routes.....eg; I use an external source to plan a route from a to d via b and c...then want to upload to boom Nav......it clearly can be done by the guys stateside using the HD app but I not sure if any other maps (route apps) might upload or how it is done?

Ah ok!
I use the HD Ride Planner (it works all over the world) - simple to use IMO and does what it's meant to.
Recently used it to plan a 5 day trip to Germany, via France, Belgium and Holland and set it to stop at a couple of dealerships.
Plan your route, then export to .GPX file (all within the app) save to a USB stick which you then connect to the Boom and upload.
You can also use any nav software that'll export a .GPX file.
Thanks for that, I hadn't realised using the HOG version, I was looking to purchase the app, I guess it's not needed...
A quick glance seems to only bring up Best western hotels so I guess if you use a mercure in France for instance it's simply a matter of adding the address instead. not finding the drag/ drop the simplest either but maybe I need to work on it a bit.
Thanks for the help - appreciated.
Cheers
Royston, if you have access and are familiar to Basecamp use that, the Rideplanner IMHO is a PIA. You can export routes in a GPX format to a USB and plug into boom nav and download. It's so simple!

Does indeed sound simple
Searching base camp online brings up a project management software, do you have a link please?
