sure these are nice numbers but its a 98 to a 107 kit and a 103 to a 107 so its a apple to a orange comparison there.
Batman
No, it's 2 different 107 level B heads 777 cams with different exhaust. Compare the two different sheets, not the sheets themselves. I understand if you change the exhaust on the bike and redyno it right away, the numbers would be a better comparison. Same bike, same dyno and the same operator can even get different results on different days.
I found a 2009 header pipe for sale that has no cat and the o2 ports up by the heads. Put them on at the same time as I installed a Thundermax tuner and used the same Python slipons. I noticed a power increase right off the bat. Then 6 months later I installed Rush true duals(no connection between the pipes) purely for sound, this is suppose to be less efficient then the 2009 head pipe. While I have no dyno reports to prove this, I DEFIANTLY have more power between 2700-3300 rpm's. Before I could only use 6th gear and be able to accelerate over 80mph, between 70-80 I could only use 6th on level ground or downhill. Now I can(don't on purpose) lug it in 6th at 65 mph and gain speed, after about 72 it pulls real nice. I live between 2500-3500 and love the sound and performance. We are spoiled, who remembers 80ci ultra's? Now with 103 standard We should be jumping for joy with a stock set up, lol.

Yup. The stock header works pretty well at stock-ish power levels. If I had a 2009 I wouldn't bother with a new headpipe. Starting in 2010, that was no longer an option.
Hey there....I decatted my stock headpipe on my 2014 Streetglide Special. There are quite a few looking for "proof" of crosstalk. I cut a window, peeled out the cat, and TIG welded the piece back on. I left the O2 bungs in stock position. Bike runs much better, less heat and the exhaust sounds much better. Now, the "proof"......during rides in Sturgis last year, you could actually feel the bike adjusting the fuel values. I would be cruising 35-40 mph and all of a sudden the bike would speed up without any throttle position change. This happens in all gears i've noticed but most noticeably in 3rd at the speed mentioned above. Additionally, the bike idles differently. I've also had it die on my for no reason when stopping. It is constantly adjusting the air/fuel mix due to the misinformation from the O2 sensors/crosstalk. Motor is completely stock with Heavy Breather air cleaner, decatted head pipe with RC components slip-ons and a VH FP3 tuner. I was skeptical at first after researching this but after trashing my headpipe and actual on-road tests, I'm making a call to my supplier of choice for an aftermarket. I didnt need any welding practice, just wanted my bike to run better.....I suggest biting the bullet and doing this the right way. Lesson learned!
Decatted my headpipe on 2015 Ultra, running Bassani 4" DNT's, Arlen Ness big sucker, Power Vision with tune from Jamie FM....Lost "most" of the heat and she runs awesome, much more tone now through exhaust. I have not been able to notice any cross talk issues, maybe the tune is the ticket?
When I was researching which way to go a decatted or an X pipe, lot of people were talking about cross talk. Several even went as far to say when it's decatted there should be a little of a lip to generate a swirling effect would be my best guess to help eliminate any cross talk. So I bought mine from ebay, the guy cut the pipes, removed the cat and welded it back together. I inspected the header before installing and it definitely looked like there was a small lip where the welds were. I installed it with my DNT's, Stage 1 SE AC and FP3. I had some fun trying to figure out which map I should go with. Contacted V&H for the best one. They gave me a suggestion I went with it and yes there was decel popping going on. I contacted V&H again and then they suggested that I run an Autotune for 3 1 hour sessions. Applied the learned info each time. Yesterday was the third session and I don't have the decel pop anymore and bike is running real good. Very happy camper.
