Default Red Security Light always on?

Okay I replaced the rear lights on my ride to LED'S. Didn't know the process to allow the system to recognize it. I rode the bike several times around the lake but didn't appear. Well the other day my Brother and I rode on a different trip which I was using my blinkers quite often. During the stretch of highway using the blinkers the Red Security Light comes on and it stays on for several miles. Goes off and then comes back on. Asked a previous question about this on another post and I checked the codes. It did say brake lights and front brake switch. So I did the emergency flashers as OP suggested for a couple of minutes. Fixed the problem of the instrument panel blinker rapidly. As far as the front brake switch defective I think that is due to the Knuckle Warmers I have on. The Higher speed maybe caused the front brake handle to open it.

Sorry long story, my question is this. When the system detects something is wrong does the red security light stay illuminated?

I am starting to think the Red Security light comes on when there is something wrong and it throws a code. On a whim I checked for any trouble codes with my FP3. Sure enough, 3 of them. Turns out at 75mph the wind hits the knuckle warmers and depressed the front brake a little along with the LED brake, turn signals. When I installed the rear LED set I failed to allow the ecm or dcm or whatever it's called. I did the reset to recognize them and no more codes. Hopefully that fixed it. I was using my blinkers a lot when the red light came on. Traveling on I-5

I cannot help with the issue but just wanted to tell you that you have a really nice looking bike! That is sharp.

Good luck with the lights.

Have you cycled your ignition yet? If not, cycle the ignition 3 times with about a 3 second gap between each. See if that corrects the issue.
