Default Help with problem after adding smart security

I just got back from having the dealer program the Smart Security and fobs that I got for Christmas. Now I have a red Dot light lit on my speedo, and my brake lights don’t work.Turn signals and 4 ways work fine.

I checked the front switch, and it is not bound, and when I push it, I can hear a click like it’s activating. I do not hear anything with the rear brake.

Not sure they could have messed anything up with the switches, as the new BCM/TSSM, is just under the side cover, and it’s pretty much just plug, play and program. I should also note that it all worked fine on the way over.

My Question is, could they have programmed something wrong that would cause this? I am going to pull the seat and the side cover and check the connections first, but I would think that the security wouldn’t work if something was un plugged.

The Red dot light should be out when the ignition is on or the bike is running, ignition off or in Accessory mode the light should blink, if the light is on solid the bike should not run, so I would take it back to the dealer, looks like something may have went wrong in programming the ECM/BCM.

I took it back in, and they couldn’t find anything wrong with the programming. But re downloaded it. As I was pulling out, the light went off and all started working. Not sure if the brake light switch got stuck or if it just took a little time to for the reprogram to work or if I hit a bump and it fixed something. But all is good now.

Hope it stays all good, you sure don’t want to start having phantom electrical issues.
Good luck

I have reprogrammed many ECM's, BCM's and various other modules, sometimes it says it programmed correctly when it actually didn't, I had to reprogram the module a second time before it took, sometimes it's just a glitch in the software and or internet connection that can cause this, hopefully they got it fixed this time.

Took a nice long ride yesterday, and all is still working fine. I will say it was the programming, but will keep an eye on things.
