You will start hating the Boom NAV unit if you don't learn about all the features, and settings.
There is a reason the Boom system has its own user manual.

Change the setting as noted above. There are things that will some times chnage that setting like some updates and you need to set it back as you want it to work.
While looking in the book also read up on the Classic mode setting.
