Default CB Antenna Mount ONLY

Hello forum! Odd question here but here goes....

I was given a short antenna in the shape of a .50cal round by my fiancé for my birthday. I really like the way it looks on the back of my 16 SG. Problem is.... My OCD is kicking and I feel the need to add one on the other side where the CB antenna would go. I do not have a CB. Nor do I have the male threaded end for the antenna. Is there just a mount that I can buy that has the threaded end? I don't need the CB and have no desire for one. I just want the rear end to look proportional. Thanks for your input!

I installed a CB antenna on a buddy's 2014 SGS.

You can fab something up by using the same bracket (p/n 76000183) as the AM/FM antenna on the left side. To make the bracket work, you'll need to mount it on the right side (screw that holds it goes in on the right, same as left side but screw threads in away from fender). After mounting, you'll need to trial fit a few times, grinding on the tab to allow rotation of the bracket to get the same angle as the left side.

Once you have the bracket mounted at the correct angle, mark the spot through the filler panel to drill for your mounting stud. I used an antenna stud with a 3/8-24 thread (female). At that point, I installed a 3/8-24 male to 6mm male adapter & added the antenna. Matched perfectly & looked like a factory install.

If your .50 Cal has 6mm female threads, you'll be all set. Something different, you'll need to find the correct adapter and/or stud that works for you.

Good Luck. Post up pics when complete.

Sounds easy enough....
Seriously though, Sounds like I will be taking off the radio bracket and making something. I will post pics up for sure. I know that its hard to see the one currently on the bike with the pic I have already posted.

If you go to the HD P&A page on the Harley website and search for CB or radio antenna kits, you can then view the instruction sheets for the various kits which will show a part breakdown and pn#’s for the various parts. You might be able to find just the piece(s) you need.

There's really no need to remove the existing mount. Just order up the mount bracket I provided p/n for. The left side bracket mounts to the inside of the diecast support & the new one on the right mounts to the right side of it's diecast support. Grind a bit off the angle fixing tab & you'll be set to mark & drill for the .59 Cal mount.

Ah! I see now. Okay. That does sound easy enough! Thank you very much!
