Default Dominator Solo Seat ?

I've been looking at a Saddlemen Dominator Solo seat for a 2014 Street Glide.

Anyone who has a Saddlemen Dominator Solo seat how did it fit your riding
position, and how is it for comfort on an all day long distance ride? ?
My questions are, will that seat sit me any lower than the SG stock seat? ?
Does the Dominator Solo seat move you forward or rearward when riding?

John

I have a Dominator, with removable backrest, on my Dyna Switchback. I know it's not a full bagger, but I thought you'd appreciate some input. Bottom line: I like the seat... on my Dyna. I don't think I would install one on my Ultra.
The good:
The carbon-look fabric and contrast stitching look killer. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it.
It is much firmer than the stock seat on my Ultra Classic, but has broken in nicely becoming quite comfortable. Before acquiring the Ultra, I rode it on many 800 mile weekend adventures.
The removable backrest matches.

The bad:
The back rest.... kinda sucks. Aside from matching the seat, it has little to offer.
The mount is ugly, primitive, and offers little adjustability; especially whend compared to Mustang. I actually had to replace the "adjustment" screw with a longer & stronger one from the hardware store, as the stock one was too short and bent under load. YMMV with the all around better backrest options available on baggers.

It will move you up and forward. I had one. Hated it. Hard as a brick and I gave it about 5k miles. Was going to have mean city redo it but they wouldn't touch it. I sold it for 180 bucks to get rid of it quick. I had purchased the ppad for the wife. Her first ride was her last on that seat. After about 30 minutes she tapped out. I was able to return that one. Here it is on my 16 RGS. I have the p&a CVO style solo seat. Can run tank to tank on it. Sits me down and back and looks killer.

Vince, did has the seat foam settled over time, or has it held up well overall?

John,
It has held up really well. I have over 10,000 miles on it, in all kinds of weather. I'm about 140lbs. Nicely broken in, still firm, not all crumbly.

Personally i think the seat is comfortable and the wife liked the passenger pillion mych more than the stock seat. My only complaint is that im only 5'-08" and it does move me up. Its just enough that i cant flat foot easily. I rode like that for about 6 months trying to get used to it but i can't. Selling it for something lower.

I have the Dominator on my Ultra. It did move me up and forward. I'm 5'9 around 175. It has taken some break in. At first hard as a rock. Still firm but I can ride it all day. I don't have the backrest so I can't speak to that but the mounting is supposed to integrated for theirs. Nice looking saddle. I was able to coil the tour pack harness under it with no problem. It is kind of a pain to get the the mounting nuts. Makes you think twice before pulling the seat off. They have a pad that is of near touring size I believe that I was contemplating for her when she decides she doesn't want to sit at home alone any more. For me, I like it.
