Default Neutral light comes on

Recently on my 2015 RK, with 15,000 miles. The neutral has come on, I notice it when cruising along. If I have the gear position activated it will flash as well. What should I look for?

Most other bikes I have worked on have a neutral switch that grounds when in Neutral. Check for a chaffed or pinched wire shorting to ground. Pretty sure the neutral sw is on top of the trans, right side.
Last issue I had like this was on a Victory. Oil pressure sw. wire chaffed on the swingarm, wore through the insulation and shorted it to ground, causing the oil pressure light to come on intermittently.

Yes, left switch pack is the left handlebar controls. HD has had problems with left switch pack failures in the Rushmore’s.

The neutral switch is on top of the trans behind the back cylinder and has two wires going to it. Remove the wires and see if it goes out. It could just be a bad neutral switch. Takes 10 minutes to change.
