Quick update for those of you that have responded and followed.
My bike goes in Wednesday for an NEW inner fairing.
And CIRO is paying for inner and install
Once it's done i will be posting a shout out to CIRO so everyone knows about the customer service I received.
Most company's would have run and passed the buck. They stepped up!!!!!
Just thought you guys should know.
Repaired several fairings with the following: Get a piece of ABS plastic and a utility knife and shave off lots of little pieces. Get a can of ABS glue from the plumbing section of Home deport. Mix the ABS shavings with the glue and then apply to crack or hole. I've used this to build new tabs that have broken off as well. It is best to clean and prep the area to be repaired to get a good bond. The repairs remained solid and did not fail.
Awesome idea for the repair, I have a similar issue, only difference is about 1/4" of the ABS is gone, snapped off, i haven't found anything that will stick to the ABS, definitely will be trying this. Already have a piece of ABS to replace the missing section.
Need the black ABS glue and make a slurry with some ABS plastic. That stuff will heat up and sweat and will chemicall and permanently bond and will be stronger than the original plastic. It is the only way to go. I have a sheet if black ABS plastic and have used it to help repair dozens if bikes. It is permanent and a one and done deal.
