Default Security code

Good morning everyone, I have a 2022 Road glide special. I 'test' my security code I entered when I first got the bike pretty often just to make sure it works, that I know how to do it, and that I never get stuck somewhere with a bike that won't start if I had fob issues. I make sure my fob is a few rooms away, or upstairs, when I try entering the code, I enter the 3rd digit, when I go to the 4th the lights all start blinking. I went as far as busting out my owners manual and walked through the steps to be sure I was doing it right and I am. I also went through the steps to check what code is saved to be sure its still what I entered, and it is.
Before I go and change the pin to something else just to try something, has anyone ever seen this before? Any tips? Most of my fellow riders never changed theirs or test it, or even realize their bike has a security code, so no help there.

Update-I figured this out, I must have been moving the bars, just a little bit, or I nudged the bike with my knee because of how it was parked in my garage. When I walked up to the bike outside just now, I didn't touch anything except the controls to enter the pin and it worked like it should.

Yes moving the bike, sitting on it or moving the handle bars before the entire code is input can set off the security system.

Always enter the code with the bike resting on the jiffy stand. Glad you figured it out

The whole "code" thing can be a bit tricky till you get the hang of it.
Glad to see you utilize it.
As you mentioned, its amazing how many riders have no idea of how to use it or that it even exists!
I make a regular habit of using the code rather then the fob just to keep the process fresh in my mind.
It can certainly be a life saver!
Glad you worked it out!

Good to know. Not sure if my year has that feature. I do practice once in awhile to make sure I know it.

You probably don't have to take your fob so far away. My garage is attached, and my fob is about 15 feet away, and the bike doesn't know it.

I changed mine to zip code I know. Though this only works if no zeros.
