Coming home this evening I hit the left turn signal button and the dash indicator started flashing fast. I figured I had a burnt out bulb, but that was not the case. When I pulled in for fuel I noticed the rear left signals weren't working at all. The front was blinking normally.
My CVO has both the bullet signals on the tail light and the tour pack lights. Neither were working on the left rear. The right side worked fine. When I hit the emergency flashers, they dash indicated they were working normally but the left rear were not on. After turning off the bike and turning it back on, all was normal. Unfortunately, the problem reoccurred before I made it home. Again, after turning the bike off and back on everything went back to normal.
Sounds like the BCM is detecting an issue on the Can Bus circuit to your rear turn signal and turing it off. When you shut the bike down it gets reset. Take it to the dealer it's under warranty unless you've added something to the turn signal circuit that's causing the error
Mine did the same, also came up with a light on the gauge, the small red light that's normally used for security. Dealer said it's been a reoccurring BCM problem. Fixed now

Any idea what they did to fix it? Just wondering if I can avoid a trip to the dealer prior to my 1000 mile service.

On mine; they said that it was a defect from the factory. Inside of the rear left turn signal housing there was a metal piece that was crushed, I'm guessing it caused a fault. Took them maybe 5 minutes to replace.
I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty annoyed by this. In the grand scheme of things it's a minor issue, but it seems silly to have to get warranty work on a bike with 500 miles.....especially something as silly as turn signals!
Had something similar happen today.I stopped at a stop sign turned right turn signal on made the turn and got in the proper lane and right signal still on so i hit the button still flashing, hit it again still flashing, hit the left signal it comes on but the right still flashes, left shuts off so about half a mile I pull into a gas station and right blinker still flashing, shut the bike off and right signal still flashing WTF? I figure gonna have to pull the maxi fuse, turn the bike on hit the four ways and they flash turn them off right turn signal goes out.I sat there for a few minutes and turned the right signal on several times and it shut off as its supposed.I rode couple hours longer and had no more issues, but it makes me curious.Anyone else experience this? Searched the threads.
I experienced something similar. I have a 2014 Limited I purchased in September of last year and have 11K miles on it with no problems at all, except for the clutch recall. Yesterday I pulled out of my driveway and went 200 yards or so and noticed the engine light was on. So I stopped the bike and shut it down. Waited a few minutes and turned it back on. At this point radio worked, volts looked good and fuel pump turn on, but when I pushed the start button, it was completely dead. No starter, nothing, button was just dead. The toggle for the emergency flashers was fine, but no start. Also, I put the fob a large distance away and tried starting with the code, but could not scroll through the numbers with the left turn signal. I had the dealer pick it up and when they pulled it off the trailer, it started fine. It started fine another dozen times, no issues. I kept it at the dealer today and they checked it out thoroughly, they said it had some codes showing lost connections to left turn signal, abs, and radio. However all electrical tests they did came back fine. They wanted to keep it and speak to corporate on Tuesday. I trust the dealer 100% as I am the dealer's HOG chapter director and they have always taken great care of me. Does anyone think this could be a similar related issue to other posts, and has anyone experienced something similar?
I thought I'd follow up since my bike was repaired last week. When I first dropped it off, the service manager came out so I could replicate the problem and show him how it was intermittent. He sighed and said it was definitely strange and might take a few days to figure out the issue.
To make a long story short, the problem was with the rear turn signal bulb. Although it worked intermittently, there was something wrong with it. They swapped the bulbs from side to side and the problem followed the bulb. They replaced the bulb and all is well.
