The one advantage of the windsplitter IMO is that most dealerships will let you demo them. They may cost a bit more, but if you can test ride them and find one you like, it may be worth it. LRS, Klock Werks etc have good reputations. There are a lot of great choices which can make it tricky for sure.

If you like to look through your shield at times, I would not recommend the new HD 10" Sport shield. The distortion is pretty bad. It does a better job with the wind than the stock shield but doesn't compare to an LRS. I will say, the 10" Sport looks a tad bit better than the LRS but no so much that its form outweighs the LRS function. I'm a believer in LRS after having two of them on different bikes.

I've had Windsplitter, Cee Bailey, and LRS. LRS is my pick.

Been debating about freedom or LRS. Anyone care to shed some info on which they prefer if they have had both.

Had an 8" lrs and switched to KlockWerks 8.5" Performs much better for me and I dig the look more. LRS was a nice shield, just didnt perform as well for me as it does everyone else here.

I have the 8.5 klock werks on my 14SG and I get all kinds of vibrations from the engine at slower speeds, at about 60 there is enough wind force on it that they smooth out but up to that speed those vibration cause buffeting themselves. On the highway at 70 it works like a champ.

I like the squared off look of the Cee Baileys too. I have a 6" recurve on my Limited now. It's perfect. I replaced an HD 7". The Cee Baileys raised the wind about 2" so that it just grazes the top of my helmet now. The quiet envelope is wider as well. I can see over it like it's not even there.
