I had quite a bit of unavoidable rain today. The Dunlop Elite 4's did great. Much better than the Scorchers. I may have found my new go-to tires as long as I don't run into any weird wear issues.
Hey all, probably late to the game. Bought my Sport Glide back in September. I love it. When I was looking for an upgrade j was actually looking for something that is now the Ultra Glide Standard. I was considering putting on the Memphis Shades batwing fairing, but came across Wedge Farings frame mounted like the RG and now I'm leaning very heavily in that direction.
Currently I run no fairing. Seems to cut out the buffeting for me, and I'm coming off an Iron 883 with 12" apes so it doesn't bother me so much. Just put on some floor boards tonight. I've got 8" brawler bars, I'm still looking for a complementing 4" riser, Rinehart 4" slip on without the end cap dampener, SE heavy breather, Fp3 tuner, sundowner seat, mustache bar, and external breather.
Would you please let me know which foot boards you put on ? Thanks
I put 800 miles on my SG on the weekend. This was enough distance for me to discover that the stock bars are too far forward and too low for me. I am 5' 10" and by the 10th hour of riding I felt a sharp pain in between my shoulder blades. I need bars that bring the hand grips back about 4". I know that there's lots of choices out there but am looking for suggestions just as a starting point. Anyone else experience the same problem?
IHad the same pain and I put 4in risers with a 2 in pull back . HD part and doesn't need any cable or wire modifications ,I have read that others did the 6in without modifications to cables and wires.
