I really like the product, saves time on waxing and protects WAY better than others.
Did you apply it yourself or did you get a shop to do it? If you did it yourself what brand?

capt Itch makes them for $40. Need to give him some measurements. My measurement on the Heritage Classic is 6 1/8" across the top and 12" to the bottom.

Reich002, I had a shop put it on. It is the "regular"cquartz by carpro. Reserve and professional get very pricey very quickly. For me it was worth having the professionals do it in case I needed some minor paint correction. The bike was brand new so little was needed. Cost $300 but that included a lot of the black areas on the bike (e.g. air cleaner, mustache guard, wheels, etc). I then purchased reload to apply once per year ( at least in New York) as additional enhancement and it works well on the spoke wheels. If you decide to do yourself buy the good quality microfiber towels and not the ones at the big box stores. Good luck

I did the install myself with no problem. However, I just did not feel I had the capability (or the specialized tools needed) to install the H-D Low Profile front suspension, so I had the dealer do it today. With both installed, it lowers the bike overall one inch, but it feels like a lot more. I can now flat foot both feet at the same time with a slight bend in the knee...With just the lower rear shock I really had to stretch to get both feet on the ground at the same time.

Here is the major benefit for me you taller riders take for granted: I can now stop while keeping my right foot on the brake while putting my left foot down supporting the bike comfortably. In the past I had to imediately get both feet down to make sure I could hold up the bike. Made for some poor looking uncomfortable unballanced stops.

The description of the H-D Low Profile Front and Rear kits state they were designed to maintain ride and handeling. I could not agree more. I don't feel any difference in the ride at all. It may have decreased the lean angle a smidgen, but since I'm not an agressive rider, I can't tell if there is any difference. For some reason, probably the lower center of gravity, the bike just feels much lighter and that makes me a more comfortable rider.

With the lowered Front and Rear suspension, H-D requires the Jiffy Stand be changed for a shorter one, which I had them do at the same time. While stock, the bike always felt like it was about to fall over when set onto the Jiffy stand. After being lowered, even with the shorter stand, the bike now feels more stable when setting onto the stand. Parked lean is about the same, just more stable putting it there. Again, the lower center of gravity makes if feel lighter when setting onto the Jiffy Stand.

Drawbacks...yeah, cost. Parts are bad enough at $389 for the rear shock, $129 for the frront suspension parts and $189 for the replacement Jiffy stand. Labor to install the Front suspension and Jiffy stand over $600. Ouch!!

But WHAT A DIFFERENCE AN INCH MAKES !!!!!!!!!!!! You have to be a comfortable rider to enjoy the ride. Now I am, so I guess it is worth it.

Oh, and yes, the bike does look better, at least to me.
Thanks for the update and detailed review Frank! Sounds like a nice mod. I think money spent on something that improves every moment on the bike is well worth it.

I'm thinking about removing the light bar on my Heritage to thin up the front end similar to the Road King Special. I'd mount the turn signals to the headlight nacelle. Anyone done this? I see Harley makes this turn signal relocation kit for other models but I'm wondering if this would fit the 2018 heritage front end, or if any other part numbers would fit? Thanks!

I put a hair band between the rubber gasket and cap, pushes the rubber gasket down more, just make sure when you put cap on to push while turning till click. Doesn't move or jiggle now. I have had it where the hairband wore out and was not under the gasket o-ring, and didn't seal the tank. Gas pouring out when riding. Quickly pulled over and readjusted hairband.

thanks but we shouldn't have to. It's like saying the seat has a tendency to move but I'll stick some paper/card around the tab that goes under the tank.

yeah i know, but i think its like the grips, most will just change it out, so why would they have good stock parts. Im changing mine out to the black bar and shield ones that also have dummy on left side.

i hear you, but while I have changed grips and seats I’ve never considered changing my gas cap...let alone needing to. Crazy problem to have.
