Id be concerned if you were turning somewhere other than left or right
As for clearance, the 18 is pretty nimble. I ride canyons a lot and can be prettty spirited without issue. Still possible to scrape, but way better than it used to be.
Ha! Good point.
i should have said doing 90 degree left or right turns onto other roads Ive scraped. In sweepers, which because of all the lakes here in central Florida, there are a few, Ive never scraped the floor boards. If we were up in the mountains of NC, it might be a bit different.
What made you go with the new bars? How do thy compare to the stock bars? (other than being thicker)
I didnt mind the factory height but these are a bit taller, 3 inches is my guess.
The main reason I changed them was these have much less pullback, which is more similar to dirt bikes, snowmobiles etc that Im accustomed to.
Also, the 1.25 does look nicer with the engine guard, IMO.

I'm wondering if it's possible to raise up the stock bars a couple inches. Anyone add risers for the existing bars?

Im thrilled with this bike.
lol, yeah I figured. Made me smile though. These are great bikes!
Hello fellow Heritage riders! Some nice looking bikes on this thread. Just bought me a 2018 gloss black and love it. Hate the ridiculous buffeting though. In GA we have a helmet law and the buffeting is bad with almost every windshield I have ever owned. If I spend too much more money the wife will have me sleeping in the garage with the Heritage. Need to cure this buffeting. I have read a ton and am leaning toward the fangs however I'm not crazy about how they look. Like the freedom shield too and they claim to stop it as well........just curious which I should try. Thanks in advance.
