The Everything 2018+ Heritage Thread
Is this normal, or should I be returning it? I sent these picks to the mfg.
Ive ordered this set up and will post pics, just kinda anxious to see some good pictures and hear some feedback. Im hoping it functions as a decent backrest for long rides...
Curved Chrome License Plate from HD, it mounts to the back of the turn signal bar. Very easy to mount.
Anyone have any experience with Quartz coating, if it would be worth doing?

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Here is the major benefit for me you taller riders take for granted: I can now stop while keeping my right foot on the brake while putting my left foot down supporting the bike comfortably. In the past I had to imediately get both feet down to make sure I could hold up the bike. Made for some poor looking uncomfortable unballanced stops.
The description of the H-D Low Profile Front and Rear kits state they were designed to maintain ride and handeling. I could not agree more. I don't feel any difference in the ride at all. It may have decreased the lean angle a smidgen, but since I'm not an agressive rider, I can't tell if there is any difference. For some reason, probably the lower center of gravity, the bike just feels much lighter and that makes me a more comfortable rider.
With the lowered Front and Rear suspension, H-D requires the Jiffy Stand be changed for a shorter one, which I had them do at the same time. While stock, the bike always felt like it was about to fall over when set onto the Jiffy stand. After being lowered, even with the shorter stand, the bike now feels more stable when setting onto the stand. Parked lean is about the same, just more stable putting it there. Again, the lower center of gravity makes if feel lighter when setting onto the Jiffy Stand.
Drawbacks...yeah, cost. Parts are bad enough at $389 for the rear shock, $129 for the frront suspension parts and $189 for the replacement Jiffy stand. Labor to install the Front suspension and Jiffy stand over $600. Ouch!!
But WHAT A DIFFERENCE AN INCH MAKES !!!!!!!!!!!! You have to be a comfortable rider to enjoy the ride. Now I am, so I guess it is worth it.
Oh, and yes, the bike does look better, at least to me.
