The bike's been at the dealer having the stage III installed. The shop was pretty busy so it took a couple of weeks, but it's been raining almost every day since I dropped it off and I didn't lose 2 days riding time. I picked it up this afternoon and took the loooong way home. The service manager that gave it the final test ride called it "snappy". Well that's the understatement of the year. Thrashin' Supply makes some footpeg-replacement floorboards. A little pricey at $380/set, and they say they're driver boards, so I don't know if they'd work for you. DK Custom has said they'll be adapting theirs later this year.
Kuryakyn has these listed as "coming soon", they say they'll fit driver or passenger peg locations.

Harley certainly need to fix this, I much prefer boards.
The problem I see is the pegs only have one attachment point with one hole in the frame. Touring have three holes in the frame to attach floorboard mounts allowing you to select different height for the boards using too of the holes. One attachment point for boards will allow the boards to rotate with the extra force a passenger will exert putting their weight on front or rear
of board getting on the bike.
I had a wonderful 50* ride to work this morning. Call me a sissy, but the new heated grips are heavenly.
I installed the larger windshield from Clearview. It's about 5" longer and 3" wider. The wind now sails right over the top of my helmet and around my hands. I needed goggles before. Now I can ride with sunglasses.
I had this windshield on my last water-cooled bike and the vent came in very handy. I can only imagine it will be used even more now. I'm contemplating blacking out the bottom like the OEM shield.
The Rinehart slip-ons are a bit loud now with the 114 kit. I'm thinking of installing Thunder Torque inserts in the baffles to balance the torque and temper the sound. Thoughts?
Anyone ever tried to jump start their bike? I am not sure I can get the clamps to reach the battery terminals, especially positive. I carry a small battery jump start with alligator clamps but cant reach the positive term. I also have added pig tails so I can put it on a tender so may have to wire something that way.
