The Everything Fat Bob Thread
Killer customs lower fork covers.
Just introduced myself some days ago to the forum and wanted to share some pictures of my 2019 Fat Bob.
Here are some changes I have done to the bike:
- Red Thunder Full Exhaust
- Low Rider S OEM Wheels
- Low Rider S OEM Mid Controls (Speed Kings Pegs)
- Saddlemen Seat
- Memphis Shades Road Warrior Fairing with 13'' shield
- Kraus 10'' Pull Back Risers
- Speed Kings Mid Bend Bar
- ODI Hart-Luck Grips
- Heinz Bikes Nano front blinkers
- Kellermann Atto 3 in 1 rear blinkers
- Custom License Plate Holder
- Tomcustombike Skid Plate
- Black OEM Levers
- Kodlin Shock Extension (15mm)
- S&S Air Stinger Air Cleaner
I will soon add a front fender to match the new wheels. Hope you guys enjoy & ride safe
Greetings from Switzerland
I have been scowering this page for days looking for someone who has done mid controls. It looks like out of 171 you are the only person. Are these the Harley available kit mids? Reason I didn't love those is because I can't use my exisitng foot pegs/brake pedals that I currently have installed. This bike is exactly how I want mine to look in regards to the front and rear wheel set up etc. Is there not too much involved in this beyond the new wheels?
Thank you!!!
I sat here for last few days and read through all 171 pages of this thread. You guys rock! That took SO long to catch all the way up on but cool to see this still going over the last 5 years.
Few things I have learned that I'd like to do if can be done easily and reasonably based off all things I have seen:
-Tank upgrade to 5 gallon (I believe any sport glide/fat boy tank 2018 or newer will work according to the posts?)
-Relocate gauges onto handle bars after new tank install
-Put a 19in front wheel on this bad boy
-Figure out a way to do mid controls while still using my matching pegs etc!! *Is this even possible?*
Things on order:
-Thrashin aggressive bend bars and 9.5" riser
-2 LP4 Baja Design one white one amber headlights
-Dyno tune and new cam coming from a local speedshop this winter
Things already done:
-Arlen Ness anondized gold parts everywhere. Air cleaner, foot pegs and passenger pegs, shift lever, grips, levers and brake calipers
-Custom saddlemen seat
-Memphis shade fairing
-Stage 2 screaming eagle kit and SE stage 2 torque cam, new pushrods, tappets etc
-2 into 1 S&S Race only pipes
-V2H FXRP Bags
-Matching derby and timing cover
-Had to get a larger primary cover from '18 fat bob to fit the matching derby cover
Would love any pointers on the Things I'd like to do list from you distinguished gentlemen.
Thanks!!!
Finally... After collecting parts for a year, I got the SE Toque Cam, V&H full exhaust and stage 2 Tune installed.
I was not expecting this much difference. It's a completely different bike now. The bike just wants to pull at any RPM. So rewarding. 😁
Anyone on the fence about a Stage 2... Skip Stage 1 and get it!!!
I saw a small difference after I added the V&H slip-on exhaust and a Stage 1 tune... The bike woke up and was more responsive.
But this Stage 2 is a whole other animal. Wow!
More pictures to follow as soon as this wet weather clears up!
Thank you!!!
I havent been active lately on this forum.
These are the Harley OEM Mid Controls (taken from a Low Rider S). Got them in a pretty new condition from ebay. But please consider that I had to get a new outer primary so that the shifting bolt could reach through.
Wheels are also OEM from a Low Rider S just powdercoated black. My local shop had to do some spacing in the front I believe, but it wasnt anything major.
Hope this helps

Outer primary and controls from a Low Rider S
Drilled the inner primary in situ
Few other mods done at the same time
Thrashin’ mid controls with P54 pegs and pedals
Thrashin’ reservoir covers
Thrashin’ 1” riser extensions
Nitron rear shock 13.5”
Front forks lowered in the trees with Banks shims
Flipped mirrors back to top
Heinz bikes front and rear crash bars with grip tape
