So how did this turn out? I'm looking to lower my bike, if I read correctly the Heritage oem shock is 2" lower... do you know if it is a direct swap for the FXBB?

If you do the front make sure you use the heavy oil...makes a lot of difference.

If I would have seen this sooner I would have done a straight trade for the Low Rider shock, as I want it a bit taller. Hope everything worked out for you, any update to how it affected the ride/

Nobody said that. The OEM heritage shock is the long one, it will make your bike taller.
