Just double checked my purchase record on ebay which says
GENUINE HARLEY DAVIDSON FXFB FXFBS FAT BOB SHOCK 2018 2019 2020 NO MILES
but who knows - I didn't measure the length and can't see a part number with the shock installed (just pulled my seat to check).
Put about 180 miles with the new shock. My impressions are quite good, but the Progressive was less "bouncy" and better taming the sharp transitions like highway expansion joints. I'd reinstall the Progressive back, but the convenience of adjusting the preload when taking on a passenger makes the HD Fat Bob (or Fat Boy) shock worth keeping for me. YMMV

The Fat Bob shock is going to raise your bike up one inch and give you 13mm more shock travel, a definite difference.
Actually, I did want the height (LOL) but being able to crank up the preload may be enough for me after all. The FXLR as it is has one of the largest lean angles of any of the Softail lineup and my chicken strips are larger than they were when I was a younger man.

I often lose track
My long Fat Bob shock cost me $165 to my door, it was a new take-off. The shocks are easy to change as you know and you can always sell your old one to a Heritage person that needs a lower ride. The extra shock travel has saved my spine since changing to the longer shock.
Hey man,
I am interested to hear how the JRI shock is working out. I have a 19 Fatboy and find the ride very stiff, with the adjustment set to the lowest. I am looking to maybe replace the rear shock.
The posts have been very helpful. OldMike. When you put the 12.6 length shock on your Low Rider, did it lower the rear of your bike/r seat height any? Did it affect handling/low speed stability? I could definitely use another 1" lower seat height because of my short legs.
