Steering damper

Has anyone installed a steering damper on a M8 Softail? Dont need a lecture why, just whether someone did it and what part.

I can understand steering dampers for race bikes screaming on a track at 140mph, but is there really need for a street bike? I've never feel any steering instability that made me thing "I need to bolt more **** on my bike"

What does it buy you?

Maybe the opposite end of the spectrum? Slower speed riding on rough / gravel roads?

A damper mainly helps prevent a well designed motorcycle from wobbling after an abrupt disturbance like hitting a pot hole while leaned over in a high speed corner or landing the front end out of line after a wheelie.
