For the 107 engine on my Heritage with a Stage 1 on it what’s a good RPM to run this engine at.
I know it’s a different animal from my 103 RGS
Thanks

2000-5500 rpm is a good range to stay in when out on the road.

Pick a prime number rpm to avoid sub-harmonic vibrations.

It seems my bike sure is happier cruising at low rpms (2100-2200) now that I've added 2-into-1 pipes and a tune. She wasn't happy that low before.

Ive found the 107 to spin up quick and easy. I have noticed that it doesn't like to be lugged at all. When I was still bone stock I found that a hard roll on in 6th gear at 65mph would have the ecm pulling so much timing the bike would fall on its face. When i installed a power vision just to monitor things it was confirmed. Found it best to snick it down a gear, so as not to load the engine up as much, when passing at 65mph. Now that ive went to a 2 into 1 with air cleaner and a different tune its a lot better but still not perfect. Ive been playing with it a bit and zeroing in on something thats like 90 percent there, but still will spark knock on occasion, when engine temp exceeds 280 degrees. During summer months its kinda hard to keep engine temp under 280 for any ride lasting longer than 20 minutes.

Run it in hard but not stupid, remember the gearbox needs more care than the engine during run in.
