I got caught in a shower for literally 5 minutes, and now the badge rivets and bolts are rusted... not a huge issue but pretty ugly. Its bubbled the finish on the upper pipe bracket. Going to contact V&H again.
I'll soon find out if they are difficult to install. Ordered a set of Eliminator 300s for my 2018 Heritage on Saturday. Should be in this week. Will give you an update after I get them installed.
V&H customer service living up to their great reputation. One email and theyre sending out a new set immediately.
Got a call today from the dealer. They came in and I just finished installing them about 2-1/2 hours ago. Getting the OEM mufflers off was a bit of a pain (2 years old). Removed the bracket bolts and loosened the clamps. Used a piece of wood on the brackets and wacked the wood to loosen the OEMs. New ones went on super easy. Sound nice, but getting some decel BRRAAT noise when decelerating for upshifts. May need a re-tune. I was surprised at how loud they were compared to the OEMs.

If you get the "BRRAAT" noise tuned out, please let us know. That's the one thing I don't like about my 300s. I can control it a little with the throttle when changing gears, but it's still annoying. Thanks.

Tuning will not stop the noise. The quiet baffles should help. Quiet Baffles
Thanks for the update, glad the new ones went on pretty easily. Hopefully my replacements will fit a little better.
Regarding the decel popping and what Ive heard called the dragon fart on throttle overrun, Ive heard almost everyone with Eliminators say theyve had it and heard it on YouTube but I didnt get that at all on mine. I can only assume its down to the FuelPak tune.

I agree, unless there's popping and backfiring, the noise is just the sound from closing the throttle between shifts, was the same on my twin cam with thunder header.
