Yeah, I can say I've noticed a decrease in torque with the 300s. I figured that was just something I would have to live with until the warranty runs out and I can do a turner, or I say f**k the warranty and I do a tuner sooner. Hopefully, the quiet baffles somewhat solve both of my issues.
Having tried the FuelPak3 maps for both stock and the recommended map for 300s, it makes no difference to the backpressure issue unfortunately so you can keep the warranty safe!
Here is a video with quite baffles. Notice it has the same reverb, shifting and on decel. The tune won't stop the reverb either. I believe it's the nature of the pipe.

I think youre right, Im not sure its possible to eliminate it completely.
Im way more bothered by the performance so hopefully theres some improvement there.

Thanks! It appears that I should accept the sound. Getting used to it anyway. Not unhappy, just takes some getting used to.
Again I'll update after install of V&H quiet baffles and FP3 tuner set for these pipes. It may be my imagination but I sense increased performance with them when getting up to speed on the highway after a stop light.
Ive done the FP3 tune, it changed the tune in the sense the fuelling was changed, but the symptoms typical of lack of backpressure were still present.
I didnt care for the recommended Eliminator map, to the point I contacted V&H to check it was actually correct. It heavily boosted fuelling where it felt like peak torque was about 1000rpm, and then a huge loss of torque from then on.
Again though it felt characteristic of drag pipes, I should try the tune with the stock pipes as Im still pretty sure all of these performance issues are linked to the fact the 300s are basically drag pipes with a bit of sound dampening.

You're not wrong. I'm going to try the quiet baffles. If things don't change, which apparently they won't, I'm going back to the stock mufflers. Luckily, I bought my barely used 300s for a song.

Same here man. Id rather have a quiet Harley than one that doesnt perform well.
