I’ve found a couple fat boys, one is a lightly used 2018 in wicked red/twisted cherry the other is a new 2020 in zephyr blue. I’ve not seen these colors in person on a Fatboy, I have seen the zephyr blue on other models and I’m partial to blues in the past. Was hoping for some pics in real world lighting conditions. Also I’m gonna be blacking most of the bike out which will affect the appearance and I think would contrast better with the red...

Aside from the pump and the color I'm not aware of any differences between the two. So saving some money is also a good thing. And very few Softails, and actually only one that I've read about, have actually needed the latest pump so you should be fine with the '18. I know that I've enjoyed every mile ridden and minute spent on mine!
just curious in what way? Thought besides the pump it was just colors that changed?

Looking at the spec charts, a little difference in power at 5020 RPM. I'd opt for the 2020 but that's just me. Oil pump is another concern when debating it.
I have the '19 FLFBS. Stock specs same as the '18 although I have a stage II with all SE parts, and upgraded the oil pump. Kind of wish I had waited for the 2020 model...*chuckles
