Default Sport Glide riser swap. Any tips or tricks?

I recently picked up a 2021 Sport Glide and love everything about it except the hunched over riding position and lack of wind protection. I'm trying to address both of those soon. First up is a riser swap to the 4" H-D fat risers. If that doesn't satisfy me, I'll look into new bars completely.

Anyways, the swap seems pretty straight forward enough. Not sure about undoing the clutch cable to move it to the front of the bars. Never done that. Anything to watch out for on this riser swap to make life easier??

Thanks!

I used Harleys 4" curved back risers on my sport glide. I'm 6'1" and have the tall boy seat. It could mean changing cables but in hindsight kinda wish I went with their 6" curved risers. I'm comfortable but thinking 6" would have been more comfortable.

I went with the HD 6" pullback risers. I used my stock cables, wires, and brake line...but the brake line was close.

I did the Harley 4" pull back riser. All cables and wires are fine, the clutch and brake is tight. 6" pull back might be to much for the cables. The 4" did help but I wish it was back another inch. If I decide to keep this bike a long time I will get bars that come back to me closer. The install was pretty simple. If you have someone to help install the bar,put allen screws in the front fist before installing. I installed the riser then the bar, very hard to get the front screws into the riser.

Good to know, thanks. Did you move the clutch cable to the front of the bars? Any trouble getting that apart and back together?

I left the clutch cable in the stock position.

Got them installed this past weekend. Nothing to it. I did move the clutch cable to in front of the bars just to be safe. Much better, but I still think some aftermarket bars are in my future.

Was in the same boat and got the 4in risers but found it did nothing for my back. Finally broke down and ordered 14in apes and will be getting them installed in a few weeks.
