Those cast spoke wheels look familiar. Give or take a few years starting with 2006 or so, I believe you could get a chrome set of these for your Road King, no doubt other models. I used to save all my old HD parts catalogs but I finally chucked them or I could look it up
. I would actually consider buying just a rear wheel for my '19. Over all the trips and rides I've taken with friends and family, if someone picks up a nail it is almost always the rear wheel. I've seen exactly one front wheel take a nail. Not scientific by a long shot, but it's looking like 15 to 1 for rear tire leaks versus fronts. And, the appearance of the rear wheel is not very important on my bike. You can hardly see it.

Either way, you pay less up front, and either get spokes at no cost ot get some money towards aftermarket.
That was kind of my thoughts on this. As much as I like chrome spokes, I am liking chrome cast more and more. Again, if I can find the chrome Machete cast wheels - awesome. Those are my favorite. If not, I'll keep my eye open for other nice aftermarket wheels at the shows. You are right though, I am sure, one way or another I could sell the stock black cast wheels without much of an overall loss.

Still not sure if a 2022 is in my future. I need to see the blue & black in person. After that, I'll know.

Always some limits to keep me from buying a new Heritage. Wanted a chrome 114 for 4 years. Now they give us that but I like red and they only put that on the blacked out model. I really like my Sport Glide more and more every year.

I notice a that the choice of cast wheels versus laced wheels seems to come down to a degree of paranoia regarding the possibility of a flat tire. Seriously, just how prevalent are flat tires on the road anyway? I can speak only from my own experience of 41 years and over 350,000 miles of riding, during which I've had exactly ONE flat tire. That one was a fluke caused by a defective tube and happened on the way home from the shop after having a tire installed. I guess you could say if I had tubeless tires, it wouldn't have happened, but, for me, I consider the odds of actually having a flat tire to be sufficiently small that it's not going to sway me toward an ugly set of wheels.

I know what you mean. I like red but my Wide Glide is red. So since I am keeping that bike, I think I want a different color. Perhaps the 107 red & black 2020? Perhaps the blue & black 2022? I do like the 107 spruce 2020 also. I like all-chrome so my choices are extremely limited. I am even considering a custom repaint and/or re-chroming the black cast wheels if I go for the 2022. Uggh

I'm going to seal my laced wheels with Outex at the first tire change.

I chose the black trim and cast wheels because:

1: I like to ride more than I like to clean.
2: Blacked out forks don't errode up front in less than a year/10K miles
3: Cast wheels means no tubes (from day 1)

And these were my personal reasons and preferences and I was thrilled to see the Heritage offered with cast wheels, black trim and a 114 as the standard engine. It fits me and the way I ride.

The moco offers the Heritage in about 13 different flavors be they chrome, black, cast or laced so why would anyone **** all over the preferences of others especially when the moco offers the Heritage in a variety of trim configurations that can now quench anyones thirst regarding form and function?

Ride your own ride and enjoy.

I have been following this for awhile now. Update: I pulled the trigger on a 2019 Kinetic Green Heritage on a very snowy day in February this year. I was considering the dark red but nothing came around that was close in distance. I saw the spruce color which was cool and really popped in the sunlight but I just couldn't see myself owning it. Wife and I were considering the 2022 blue and black since Harley did the 114 in chrome this year. My wife would get that one since she likes blue and I would get her 2021 Black. Very nice but the finances just were not there right now. And she wasn't 100% sold on the blue. And of course the chrome spokes are an upcharge.

So that negated the cast wheels for me. I do not care for the black as-is and I searched but could not find anyone locally that would take the black and re-chrome them. And the machete wheels as I mentioned before are just too rare.

I will run with the black spokes for a few years but honestly there are tons of other mods I need to do first. Engine guard, lights, seat, pegs, pedals, chrome engine parts etc. New wheels is unfortunately far down on the list.

Note: I did keep my 02 Wide Glide and as it is, loud & proud and all chromed out, she is my local rider.
