As far as spoke wheels, maybe some folks just like the look. I bought a 2021 Crimson/cream with the 107 mainly to get a chrome package. Was glad to see that the Crimson/cream was no longer an option. Makes mine easier to find. Also happy to see more chrome models. Was Crimson/cream an option in 2020?
This.
Heritage just looks right with spokes and wrong with cast.
Evo Softails had REAL dual tanks with a cap for each side. I liked things like this because these little quirks were what made the Harley unique among motorcycles.

Might a different style of cast be better?
Meh
In my opinion, the entire reason for the Heritage to exist at all was to combine the look of a classic Harley from the 1950's with modern reliability. The Evo pulled this off perfectly, the Twin Cam somewhat less so, but the current Heritage has all but abandoned any semblance of the classic look that made Harley-Davidson a style icon.

I'm OK with the look of the Heritage. Mine is highly modified but looks basically stock except for the wheels.
I had one of the first Heritage model years before the balanced engine. Above 80 mph it vibrated so bad that it hurt to ride.
I totally agree, I had an Evo Heritage, the vibration through the floor boards would put your feet to sleep within 50 miles. Bike was as bad as a early Sportster for vibration. It looked good but was a pain to ride long distance.

It's funny, in the 25 years and 223,000 miles I rode mine I never had that problem. Then again, the speed limit is 65 here and I never rode 80 for any distance.

From a "purist" perspective and assuming the Heritage is based on a nostalgia look (which it is), chrome spoke wheels are the clear choice. But when you add the CVO Softail editions which blend the throw-back look with cool paint schemes and cast wheels; just wow! I gotta say, if HD brings back those cast wheels like this https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/...uxe-5018378040 or this https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/...ble-5017413479 as a part or option for the Heritage in future years, I am all-in!
