I noticed black dish bowl as well. I like my chrome one better. These wheels are ugly and look cheap. Sportster wheels that some put on look way better imo.
The fact there is no left gas cap though would drive my symmetric brain insane. While I understand decision behind it 2 caps are so much better.
Longer I look the less classic I see in this new model.
The wheels look like the stock FLH cast rims of the early 2000's. I like them and hope to purchase a set to install to replace the spokers on my 18. It does look lost without the second gas cap. Coming off of COVID I didn't expect much from the MOCO. I expect them to launch a new sport bike. We shall see in a few weeks.
I've kick started and ridden those enough to have a sore right knee. They look cool and sound cool but that is about it.
You're probably right. I'm not a kid anymore, either. That's why I loved my Evo Softail. it was, for me, the perfect blend of old and new, combining classic good looks with modern performance.
The only thing, and I mean only thing, the Heritage Special lacked was a tombstone tailight, IMO. This model is the best looking modern Harley ever produced.
The colors on the HD website don't seem to match what the look like in person, or at least this one I saw today. It's fresh off the truck and not put together yet.

I’m glad I didn’t know they were coming out with cast 16” wheels. I probably wouldn’t have ordered from Southern Machine and been disappointed as hell when I saw those for the first time. Thanks for keeping it a secret, MoCo!
