Klockwerks 10". Stock seat, 5'11" and Shoei GT2 Air. I had some buffering. I also found that I was pretty low (slouching) and pulled forward with stock bars and contributed front vent as buffeting from stock windshield. Not that it was bad, just I was wrong. Sitting up is like oh... That vent in chest and windshield is pretty good. But I still wanted taller windshield and yes I am happier. I sit up straight, and got bungking 6"/2" pullbacks and I have nothing hitting the top of my helmet unless I'm going fast... 80-90. And it's not bad, it's much improved, just saying.
I don't personally care for the looks of taller screens, so to me 10" is perfect compromise with looks/performance. I have no rattling or vibrations in screen. About my only complaint is how it warps view. Not that I am below screen and looking thru it, but just the fact it does warp vision down front is a tad off putting. That's just me... And the dark smoked is as dark as I want. It looks good, but I wouldnt want it any darker for the same reason... To see stuff in front of me. We are talking slow speed not normal driving. All in all I'm really happy. It was the right upgrade for me.
I rode home with a Simpaon Bandit and took it back immediately. It was the most horrifyingly noisy helmet I've ever encountered. Worse than a bad open face !
I now use an HD Modular, which is an HJC, the quietest modular I've ever had.
Well dang lol
I do place a lot of emphasis on the helmet looking "cool", so I tend not to like many of the modular options. That HJC doesn't look too bad, but I might just stick with ear plugs/headphones for the longer trips for the time being
Sorry to post off topic, but how does the Outlaw Bandit compare to the Lane Splitter? I currently have the Lane Splitter but I'm not terribly impressed with it (super noisy, which I did expect) and have been thinking of switching to something a bit higher quality and that Simpson was on the short list.
The Lane Splitter is noisy, the shield hardware is suspect and the mouth vent doesn’t close so lots of cold or hot air right in your grill. Looks cool, decent price and for running around town I like it. Plus I’ve been friends with the Biltwell guys since way before the brand existed so I support their business however I can. Simpson is my favorite but yeah, not the best of the best. What it is best at though is how it looks and to me that’s what I like. It’s perfectly safe like most every other brand but doesn’t look like a sport bike power ranger helmet or corny hell yeah brother lid. I got mine like new with tons of extras off marketplace for super cheap so a win on all fronts.

I too bought and returned the Simpson Bandit. The WORST helmet for noise. Not only that I think they only have 2 shell sizes. One for XS/SM and one for M/L/XL/XXL. I wear a large and the Bandit made me look like a Harley Bobblehead.
They look cool for sure, but are terrible fit and noise.
After trying on everything from HJC, Arai, Bell, Shoei, Simpson, Schuberth, etc. I settled on the Shoei GT Air II. Great helmet for upright riding position and great air flow. Also very quiet inside.

Having tried:
- Stock - Way to low and wind hit me under the chin
- HD Tall - Weird angle back to rider
- Clearview Med - Better than the first two but the wind hits me above the visor. Good to 65mph then terrible
- Klock Werks 10" - Better fit and finish than CV, buffeting about the same. Looks better on the bike
- Clearview Large - Still sitting in the box but hoping this one will be tall enough for long highway miles and I will use the KW for around town and short trips. I have grommets for each so swapping windscreen takes all of 3 minutes.
I know Puig has a new screen out for LRST and they typically make great screens. As does Madstad but none for our bikes.
As of now I can open a LRST Windscreen Rental company so hoping the CV Large works for long trips

I just learned this week that Clearview is literally like 12 mins from my front door lol. If you think I won’t be over there test riding every size they make very soon, you’re mistaken lol. I do love my large though so not really looking for anything better but hey, why not try.
I"ll add my windscreen story. I'm 6' 4", 32" inseam and a long torso, I'm running the LePera Kickflip which sits me +/- an inch or so higher, the height helps with the mids. That being said, the stock windscreen was absolutely no good. I put on a Klockwerks 8" and it was better than the stock but still nowhere near ideal. Next step was a KW 10.5", better than the 8" but still not ideal. I did some research based on what I've seen/read here and decided to give Clearview a call, after talking with them and some more research I ordered the CV large. I'm done. This is the fix. I probably could get even better with the XL but I'm 100% happy with the large. As far as helmets, I wear a Shoei RF-1400 and it's a little noisier than when I had my Elecrta Glide but I don't get buffeting etc.
I tried the 10” KW and sold it. Have the 8” KW now and it’s okay and still hoping for better. After reading all the positives on the Clearview I’m going to try the medium or large at some point!
