Hey Bill if you wanna send me a complete system to try out I'd be more than happy to LOL. Just wanted to tell you I think you guys build some of the baddest bike audio equipment I've ever heard. I turned a CVO buddy of mine onto y'all about 3 months ago and I've been jealous of him ever since. Awesome stuff.
Did some testing with a stock pod. Our current pod should not stick up any higher, the overall height is very close to the same. It does go in toward the seat a little more, I am not sure why its hits the seat on some bikes and not others. Ours also extend down a little bit more, maybe 1/4".
I tried to take pictures but could not really get anything that showed the differences very well.
If someone was serious about getting them I would be happy to send an empty pod out to test fit, just give me a call.
Bill
That's awesome, we'll be leaving soon for the holidays and won't be back until after the first of the year. But I would happily take you up on that offer. I really want these 7.1 pods on the back and some 6.5 's in the lower fairings (unless someone comes out with a lower fairing enclosure for the 7.1 by then?)
Just and update and to answer my own question, no the BT 7.1 rear pods will not fit with the Harley passenger armrests. I removed the armrests for now and in the event me and the wife go on a long road trip I'll just put them back on and remove the BT pods. I can always re-install my hog tune pods for trips that she goes on. I still need to connect the new speakers but they look great. Also waiting on my CVO lower speaker pods to finish letting the paint to dry so I can install the 6.5's.
How do you guys like the sound of those going down the road with a passenger? How is the sound and comfort for the passenger? I just installed those pods but have not powered them yet, they rub against the ultra seat and wondering if I would be better off with stock pods with titan ll 6.5? Thanks
