Same old story lots of money spent sounds better but certainly not what supposed to be, option 2 should have given you 02_off so your dealer did not flash it correct and ill say it again 02_off will be 02_on when bike is running so you can set gains for garage which sounds really good or for actual ridding which only will sound ok cause power out when running is cut. AS of right now there is no way to have new bikes with Harley head unit sounding correct. As much as I love all my BT equipment and can here the potential I am pissed off that it is worthless till bill or someone figures it out waiting over winter and if nothing happens head unit is coming out as much as I hate the idea .

ok,, I should have 02_off,,, I have 210_off.. so if I get it flashed again, (asking them do to it free) how do you know what it is while running? Can't start bike while you're in the diagnostic page,, can you get to it somehow after it's running? Or is this just a KNOWN thing? Not being a smart aleck,, just trying to learn!
the bottom line is 02_off or 135_off are the main choices and both are not right Harley has screwed us big time and all aftermarket folks can not figured it out yet and don't think they ever will. I feel 02 is better mainly cause fader works and this bin has way more bass and mids .to check bin while running just do it the same way but while holding mute before accept screen comes on hit the start button and then accept.

Jim if you are happy with it do Not mess around wait till someone really figures it out I have wasted enough money that could have already bought the metra kit and got Reid of this peace of ****.
I could never be happy with out fade, treble and bass. Think some of problem is one guy says flash sounds great but only has 2speaker setup other guy says this is great but only has 4speaker setup or has different radio software loaded. IF I thought there was a answer would post those with 4180 7.1 & 6.5 & 6x9 bt equipment with 19.1 software what bin to use and so on would keep things more clear on forum.
Only hope is that bill and cycle sounds are both looking at buying equipment to be able to write a flash into Harley radio then maybe and that's a big maybe we will have a radio that functions right.
One of the problems with the flash process is the techs are doing what is printed for recommendations from Biketronics or other amp manufacturers , but they don't know about the bin files or how to select/load different bin files.
It's not their fault either. HD isn't telling them, or aren't sure themselves. The Boom II isn't working like it should as far as I know. Maybe they have it figured out now.
The price we pay for pioneering new equipment.
jimtjr I have had that bin file while back and it did sound ok on some songs and junk on others with no fade was never able to set gains right to get most out of 6x9s and treble was all over the place.02_off should me how good system could sound but can not get this bin to sound for **** with bike running cause of it switching to 02_on when bike running. Still suggest if you be happy enough for now don't screw with it.
