So I am going to get (2015 Road glide 4 spkr 500w) this system install at Myrtle Beach bike week. I keep reading about AMP on AMP off. My bike is a special. I have read you need a flash, and you don't need a flash. And I have read it comes with some thing to test out settings. What's true? I am sure you can tell me there is better. But I have heard this system and its what I want and it plug and play. Which means a lot to me. So will I have to flash?

You are right there is better.
But if this is what you want, and J&M has their own instructions on their system why not just follow their instructions. Chances are what we tell you is contrary, and you've already made up your mind.
Try it out according to J&M instructions for their specific system and let us know how it works. Not all systems are going to be the same with regard to a flash if the system is sold with an inline dsp line level shifter like the magic box.
J&M has supposedly removed the flash headache with their "new wiring harness". This just happened within the last week. Not sure how you fix a DSP issue with a wire harness unless they incorporated some sort of filter or crossover in. I found this info on another audio forum.
