BT4180.14 - 180W @ 4ohms

My configuration using the BT 4180 based on info that Bill from BT gave me..
120 Watts per front four speakers in parrallel.
180 Watts per Rear channel

Sensitivity Freq resp. Max Power RMS IMP
Focal 93dB 60Hz - 20kHz 160W 80W 4ohms

HATS 93.2dB 50Hz - 22kHz 230W 100W 4ohms

ARC 6.2 86dB 50Hz - 20kHz 240W 90W 4ohms
Focal + Hats. They can handle the juice with no issues. The Arcs really shine with the bass they can pump out. The other two not as much. So pair those together.

Update: So, I received the 4180.14 Amp kit, but they sent me the wrong speakers in error. They sent Same Titan II 6.5s that I already have instead of the Titan II 7.1s that I ordered. I'll be on the phone with Bill today to get this squared away.

Went forward with installing the Amp and ran into another problem. Removed the Diamond Micro 4, Installed the BT355 line Levelers and all speaker wires to the Amp(very nice plug & play operation), but the Power and Ground inputs are so freakin' small on the 4180 and I have a heavy duty power harness routed under the tank back to the battery. So, I have to pickup a Power distribution module today so that I can step down the gauge of those wires. I Rigged it just to test and It sounded pretty crappy with no front to rear fade control and no response from the Bass and Treble controls. No surprise there but I think that's because the bike still needs to be flashed. I thought it might be ok because when I initially installed the diamond amp and my speakers, I had the HU flashed for 1 Amp off, eight speaker on. However, who knows what updates Harley has pushed during services to the bike and what flash is loaded now. I will take it in and let them do the latest firmware update and then have them flash it as a Stock ultra with 4 speakers, no amp with fade control.

Hoped to have a better update guys, but hopefully something good by the end of the week! Thanks again for all your help. Also, if there are any suggestions while she's exposed, please shoot away...

I figured that I would be ok with the Titan II 7.1s based off Bill's suggestions and my configuration. Now that I have to send back the 6.5s that they sent me in error, should I jump up to the 7.1 Pros and be done with it?

You can ask Bill and I'm pretty sure he'll confirm the same thing, with the stock HU you won't notice the full potential of the Pros.

Thanks Guys!

Just spoke with Mike, an engineer at Biketronics today. He suggested that I give the the Pros a try in parallel with the Focals. The price difference that the worked out for me wasn't bad at all. Kudos to his sales abilities. LOL, but also Kudos for the time he spent explaining a lot to me about the output of the 4180. Also about taking care with the gain controls on the line leveler that were digitally tuned by them to get minimum distortion at full volume and to protect the speakers. He said to make sure I take a good listen to it set as is before I make any adjustment and only adjust if I feel it's necessary.

I'm learning just how sensitive this stuff can be. They're sending the speakers over night. I should be able to have the bike at Harley tomorrow evening for the re-flash. I will key you guys in once complete! Thanks again!

He also added that if I wasn't impressed by the 7.1 Pros, that I could return them.

I'm actually surprised that they suggested the Pros with the stock HU. Let us know how it turns out.

Vision, what Focals are you going to run parallel with the BT 7.1s? I have the 165 KRCs in the front that are 4 ohm and hearing that Mike thinks this would be a good idea is pretty good news as it simplifies my current plan, that changes daily. My rear speaks are Focal KRX2 and 2 ohm so dead in the water there. Was going to try the ARC Moto 692 in parallel but the sensitivity is 88 and a pretty big dif from fairing Focal 93.

BT479 = 4 ohm / 94 sens / 120 to 240w
FC KRC = 4 ohm / 93 sens / 90 to 180w

Anyone have thoughts if you think paralleling fairing to bags with this set up will be an issue?

Thanks!!!!

Tail I would try to avoid running your fairing speakers in parralel with a speaker in your bags. You will give up some power to your most important speakers (fairing).

There's gotta be a way to squeeze a second small amp in your fairing. I don't have access to a Rushmore SG but if some one has a mold or template I could have a machinist make one. Does something fit on the side of the speaker bracket?

My Focals in front are 165 KRCs. I agree with haze. In my limited knowledge ,I would not go parallel between fairing and rear speakers.

If you're using the biketronics brackets, a small surface becomes available between the bracket and the back of the fairing speakers. I'm currently using it to mount the crossovers for my Focals.....using the factory pods, no chance.
