Default Moto 602s installed...couple questions.

I received my 602's today and installed them as soon as I got home. First off, I'm coming from kappas and currently running a CW B2.

I only did a garage test so no vids yet.

First impressions are that they are obviously superior to the kappas. With my current amp settings they're easily as loud if not louder. Highs are ear piercing, truly impressive. My only concern is the lows. Now I haven't had a chance to adjust my amp and I know it's 2 ohm amp vs 4ohm speakers.

So assuming my amp freq isn't already turned down, can I expect to get some warmth and my beats back? Or do I need to start saving for a new amp?

Additionally, is there a difference between a adjustable PAC line out converter and the BT line leveler? Or could that be beneficial as well?

Thanks in advance guys.

You really need to reset the gains before you go any further. And yes there is a huge difference between line out converter, and the BT LL's. The LL's are a must. I wouldn't be pushing these speakers before doing both these steps.

Yes. To get the best sound possible out of the HU it should be flashed back to stock. If you are going to run more than one pair of speakers have the rear output and fader enabled so the radio is then setup like a stock, no amp, Ultra. And install the BT Line Levelers. You will be amazed at the difference.

I'm running the BT amp, Moto 602's (with line levelers) in the rear tourpak pods and with one notch fade to the rear they keep right up with the BT7.1's in the fairing at 80 mph. Cristal clear and loud. The more you turn them up the better they sound.

Here's another happy camper using the LL's.

I wonder for the few folks that had their bikes flashed and are getting good sound if it sounds any better with the line leveler? I've heard a some tricked out bikes with just a flash that were impressive.

If they were lucky enough to get a flash and software update that works together and satisfies your ears, then I would say leave well enough alone. The problem is that that flash and software update most likely can never be reproduced. It seems every time the MOCO updates the digital tech software it changes the flash. And of course the tech doing the flash has no idea. I suspect this is one of the reasons why dealers can't get the Boom upgrades to work.

This is why the LL was created. It cleans up the signal coming from the HU with the current HU software and hopefully future software updates. If not that's why Gain & Filter adjustments where added to the LL.

So at this point in time the LL gives everyone an equal chance of getting decent signal out of the stock HU.

Yeah That!! The Moto's are very warm speakers and you should be getting great bass out of those speakers.
