Default Boom II Fairing Speakers

Hey folks what I'm wondering is if anyone knows what changes Harley made to the speaker set 76000594 which is now discontinued and replaced with 76000594a? The previous set can be found at pretty good discounts but I'm not sure on the difference as specs seem similar.
I've been around long enough to know that for the most part folks aren't fans of the boom II. I went the route of a 4 hertz speakers setup and a diamond amp, from a highly recommended dealer on here, that I'm less then happy with. A buddy I ride with went boom II 4 speakers and blows my system off the road.
If anyone can figure out what might of changed I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
Chris

Bummer to hear about your bad luck with the good stuff. I have found that if you call the HD 800 customer service line, there are real people who answer the phone here in WI and are very willing to help. I had great luck with some GPS questions. Hope this helps.

Just want to make sure I'm reading this correctly, you bought 4 Hertz speakers and a Diamond amp and you think Boom II is a better set up?

What year and model sled?
What Hertz speakers?
What amp?
Who did the install to include tuning?

There really is not a chance in hell that Boom beats out the set up u recently purchased even if I don't have any specifics about ur actual equipment. U might tap the brakes and do some problem solving cause something is just not right.

Let's get it right bro!!!

We need to know the following please:
Year and make of bike
Hertz speaker model
Diamond amp model
How was the amp installed, meaning how was it wired from radio to amp to speakers
Did you use line levelers
Did you retain speaker pods or use brackets

Lol, what T said above my post.

Chris the only issue you might run into with the Boom speakers is that you will likely need the Boom amp to go with it. If remember correctly it's a bi-amped system with separate woofer and tweeter. Chances are you can't just hook it up to your current amp.

Ok Folks thanks for the help
Bike is 2015 CVO Road Glide Ultra
Amp is Diamond micro 4v2
Fairing speakers are Hertz Mille Pro MPX 165.3
Bag speakers are Hertz ECX 570.5
I did use a line leveller.
Not currently running any speaker in the tourpac pods as I was told you couldn't run 6 with that amp.
That's one of the other things I'm considering as an advantage for the Boom II, it appears you can run 6 speakers by purchasing 2 additional AMPS.
I do recognize that I will need to take all this out and begin building the new build.
Any insight you can provide would be appreciated.

What is your bike? Is it a Rushmore? I would guess the only reason it doesn't "Sound as good as his" is your flash is bad, or you've got something terribly misswired,,,
