Our mount was designed for the hcp4d.....we tried the hdp4 and had no luck....now just because we didn't that doesn't mean it isn't possible...
Jonathan I've been back searching but I'm having no luck finding it but I could've sworn there was a fella that posted on here a while back that had ordered your mount and fitted the HDP4 on it. Can't remember if he was local to you or not but it was an older black Ultra and he posted pics of his install here. I had pics of it on my phone but evidently I deleted them.
Hmmm I may be wrong Kris. I'd get up with Gann and see how he has his fitted.
Gann is tour pack mounted iirc. Unless you want to flex the fairing supports to squeeze in in there, and are ok with zip ties holding it in place, I would reconsider or go a different route. Unless bag amp or tour pack is fine with you. Only ones I have saw on 13 down were jimmy rig mounted. I may be a bit meticulous, but unless I can mount securely to a plate with screws, it wont be going in my bike in the fairing.

Your right he said hdp4 but he was actually talking about the hcp4d. I know exactly who you are talking about. Like I said though just cause we couldn't fit it doesn't mean it's not possible....

09Baggerdude had one mounted iirc, but wasn't the BAB mount. Not sure what he did, but Haze tried and couldn't make it work, sent me pics of the attempt when I considered it, and abandoned idea very quickly. Has to have a certain angle and the weight, and so forth, will crack those weak fairing supports in a matter of time anyway if one did squeeze it in. Have to think BIG picture.

I may have a crack at it just to see. I guess tour pack mounted wouldn't be too bad. Mite as well...I'm already doing **** I swore I wouldn't do. I guess the limits I set for myself don't mean crap when you can rationalize the next rebuild.
We mounted one in Gann's bike (fairing) at an angle, pain the ****....but it's in there!! 09Bagger isn't running one in the fairing any more. Honestly not worth the hassle.

Well S.O.B. There goes that plan. Damn it. Guess it's a good thing I double checked. Thanks for the feedback guys.
