So there are some reports that the CVO file has a different EQ profile than the regular 6.5 load. I loaded the CVO one in my RGS and it definitely sounds different than it did before, more bass and seems to have more a little more volume. I want to compare them side by side.

From what I read is that the Premium and CVO files are the same other than the splash screen, and the a report or two that the new software update (1.20.3) has added a little more volume. We need more guinea pigs...

Theres another thread in the Rushmore area about 1.20.3 with a lot of folks saying the CVO sounds better. Without trying the regular 6.5 update and only going to the CVO there is definitely a difference between what I had, 1.20.1, and the new one. It may be the same between the 2, who knows.

Yeah, one would have to test both on the same bike to tell for sure. I'll have to check out the Rushmore area a little further. Thanks for the update.

I'm not sure why the CVO would sound any different, the CVO limited doesn't have an amp right? So the only difference between a CVO limited and a plain limited would be the speakers. The install instruction for the speaker upgrades don't mention a flash (unless you get the stage II and I assume those need an amp?)

Might be worth a look I suppose, if only I still had a 6.5...

I could see there being a minor difference in the EQ file as the CVO comes with Boom amps and speakers installed. So thats my theory. In each iteration of software HD seems to change the EQ file slightly.
