Reading all these posts are giving me a headache. There are soo many positive /negative audio posts on systems. I don't want a system that is just loud. I want it to be loud and sound good. I also want to use stock radio and don't want a ridiculous install. And why do some systems require a radio flash? I have a 2016 FLHXS and would love hear thoughts...
I only want to do it once. Lets say $800-$1000
Lets here it...
As mentioned above by CVOJOE, get ahold of Haze at Bagger Audio. I have the same bike, the same budget and was asking the same question about one month ago after reading so many different recommendations. I am going with the DD Amp, Midwoofers & Tweeters. I have received everything except the BT Speaker Brackets but should have them soon and ready to install. The communication and service from Haze has been excellent. After my installation, I will post a follow up.
Like these other guys have stated, reading thread after thread, whats good whats not, I too ended up confused. One product might be excellent but not pair well with the application desired. I too chose to just leave it in the hands of BAL. Alex took care of the rest. He knows what works well together. He knows he's gonna have to answer a million questions from rookies like me...but he does it all. If you wanna hop up your stereo, get a hold of BAL.
How about anyone else with a street glide special? What systems are you running and any feedback on it?
I'm running the BT 7.1 Pro's in the fairing, with BT4180 amp, and BT
Line Levelers. As for now, It's loud and clear. People turn and look over a block away when they hear it coming. All my buddies say its loud as hell too. It's good, clean sound for the most part. It does lack any real "punch" as far as bass goes...Which is why I'm looking at adding speaker lids real soon.
