So we put new bars on my sons Glide
The Bike came with a complete BT System Sony CDX -GT660UP and Retro radio kit. BT Speakers and hidden antenna
The bike had 14 inch apes, we put on 10inch
Never cut the wires to the handle bar controls since we went shorter bars
Started to install a PA RZ2000D to run some old Infinity Kappas I had .
Deck amp speakers all work fine
But I cant get the BT1002 to work?
I called BT , But have not heard back
So I thought I would ask the gurus here
Adding an amp to the system make a difference on the function of the BT1002
I was wondering if Im missing anything? Do I need to reset something?
We made sure the remote control wire is in with the cord facing up like in the directions.
Thanks
Hey Nutz
Ya everything the same. Only added the amp and swapped the bars
3.5 mm pliged in per instructions with the cord going up
I did hear back from Donna
Hi Greg,
1-Right angle stereo plug(black wire coming from bt1006) is secure into back of Sony with right angle pointed up?
2-Try unplugging module from the 23 pin connector-take power away from the module for about 1-2 min and plug back in.
3- Changing bars can cause wires to be pinched or rubbing-I would look at that also if 1 or 2 doesn't fix it.
Thanks
Donna
So we will try Options 1 and 2 before we tear the bars apart
Actually I have a new BT1005 waiting to go on my bike. I will prob try that before I tear into the bars
Was really hoping it was something simple we overlooked, but dosent sound like it
I once plugged 3.5 jack into mic input , also the reset worked for me when changed brand of head unit, highly unlikely that pinched wire took out both l/h & r/h controls and I know you don't want to pull all that again for fun.

Agreed plus all other hand controls function turn signals stop run start button.
Whats the reset you speak of
#2 on your list. also if you had tuned radio on then remembered to plug jack in that has caused me problems unplug jack reset bt module plug back in then turn ignition back on.I have newer version but the wire retainers on module can give false sense that there in there good just some ideas. Module has been bullet proof just that I have jacked with it so many times.
