Default Need some help

I am having issues with my audio set up.
PBRx2
6.5 titanII
Sony GT660up
Biketronics control box.

The issue I am having is my speakers(only faring speakers hooked up in system) keep going out wail Im riding. The radio is still on and the EQ bars are still dancing up and down. I have both power and ground from amp run directly to batt, gain set to 4.5-5. I am using speaker wires to power on amp (not RCA). Amp is set to AP. output wires are run thru Biketronics box to speakers. It dosn't seem to do it when bike is not running. All wiring is soldered.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What happens when it goes out? Does it come back on by itself or do you have to shut everything down to get it back on?

Sounds like the amp is overheating and going into protection mode.

Some times it comes right back on other times it stays out for long periods of time. I was thinking over heating at first also but just didn't seam right when it dose it within the first 5 min, also from all the reviews and info I've read on this site i didn't think that was much of an issue with the PBRx2.

Need to pull fairing cap off and determine whether amp is staying on or going into protect mode when this happens. I have a feeling what you're seeing can be corrected by adjusting the input voltage control. It's the H L **** on the right

Thanks UltraNutZ, I will check that and I assume it should be set to H because the way I have it hooked up? Dose it come from the factory set to L? I did not switch that when I installed it.

Ok, so i pulled the fairing off switched the H L dial but still started cutting out on me. I started going over all the wires and think i found my problem. I have the rockford amp kit and the fuse that comes with the kit is crap. It was not blown but the plastic case around it feels loose. I put in a new fuse, it is nice and tight in there and all working now. Have to go for a ride tomorrow and make sure it is settled.

Hope that fixes your problems. Electrical gremlins can be a pain in the butt to track down.
