Howdy,
For you guys running 2 amps, how are you powering them? I'm trying to plan ahead as much as possible and was considering a small fused distribution block near the battery. I already have a Powervision connected to the battery and don't know if I can squeeze two more terminals onto the battery along with two more bulky single fuzes. Thanks!
4 ga from positive post, inline fuse within 8" of battery run up to the fairing into a fused distribution block (4ga in/2-8 ga out) and then run an 8 ga to each amp.
For ground, 4 ga to negative post on battery run up to the fairing into a non-fused dist block (4ga in/ 2 or 4 - 8ga outputs) then run the 8 ga ground to the amps.
That is the exact setup I was thinking (4 to 8 & ground setup). However, I figured I would have to put the second amp in my TP or one of the bags. That being said, I guess I was wondering if I could put the distro block close to the battery.
Consider something like this in that case? Keep your inline fuses as close to the battery as you can and instead of running a 4 up front, just run 8s directly off this? https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item...-UBT-2428.html

So use one of the 4s to attach to the battery and use the two 8s to run to the amps?

What I was thinking is plop that thing right over the top of the one wire that's connected to the battery, the stock power wire, which then gives you access to run whatever you want out of that splitter. In your case, since you're running one amp in the fairing and one in the TP, I would use one 8 ga opening to run to the fairing and run one 8 ga opening to run backwards to the TP. On each of those, I'd run an inline fuse as close to the battery as I could get and still have easy access...like perhaps behind the side panel on either side. Skip the distribution blocks entirely. I would also put that same lug on the negative post and run 8 ga grounds out of it to each amp location. Seems complicated as I explain it but its pretty simple I think.
Seems a lot better than the alternative which is a 4 ga up to the fairing then an 8 ga all the way back to the TP ya know?
