It would look a lot better coming from a moderator who was VERY SWIFT to jump on Alex for posting but has mysteriously been completely absent since this troll returned to the forum. I guess rules don’t apply to everyone.
Reported it, so let's see what happens.
I'm guessing John just does this crap until he gets cut off, waits whatever time period that he cant post, and then just starts over again. He is blatantly violating forum rules.
FLASHING the radio for the new Harley WHIM (Wireless headset module) will NOT alter or stop you from altering the speaker/amp flash configurations for the external speakers as is shown in this thread ,,,,,,
they are two completely different operations ,,,,,
That is some great news. I have been told by more than one source that flashing for the WHIM would overwrite the 8 speaker 2 amps etc. flash that I have now.

I can't speak for everyone of course, but yes I personally am very sensitive to paying a premium price for an at best average system and having to see it obnoxiously described as the best when I don't think a single person outside of the company owner would call it the best by any standard used. And yes before you whine John I've owned you're overpriced products before but will never make that mistake again.
I found an Indy here near stl that has the techno research tool that is supposed to be able to flash the boom system.
I have some confusion on what may or may not be the flattest EQ curve.
I thought it was the 8 speaker, 2 amp flash. Is that still the case? I believe you lose fader control with that. If that is the case, is there a flat response where the fade is still enabled?
Thanks guys.
Andy
Ever get this flash done? If so could you give me the name of the Indy that did it for you? Would like to get this done as well and I am just down the road from you. Also I tried to PM/email something but could not figure it out, sorry to revive an old thread.
There's alot of confusion alot of different point of views and alot of bashing all about this flash but to this one I say F YOU harley...how u let your loyal customers and riders have so many issues on bikes they pay 20+ thousand dollars for is beyond me...harley isnt blind to this had years to revise this and seem to be ok with having a problem their own technicians can do nothing about
And on another note I'm not saying this to side with anyone or start an uproar just givin my PERSONAL EXPERIENCE... I'm a west coast boy...I live in Arizona about 3 hours from JM Rokker in tucson...I have visited them in person and spoke to Pete on many occasions and hes an awesome dude...didnt push any products on me and gave me real info...i heard a non flashed bike...a "optional" flash and a bike with their stage 4 flash...the bike WITH their flash sounded great...NOW by great I mean that as definite upgrade...ALOT more clear and very listenable at riding speeds...FOR THOSE OF YIU BARELY STARTING OUT FAIR WARNING...it gets real addictive and more expensive than you anticipated...many people start a post saying "will the soundstream amp and infinity kappa do the trick" months down the road you see a post asking "how many amps can I run before I need to up my charging or second battery" or "what's best option for more bass in my tourpack and bags"....WELCOME TO THE NEVER ENDING QUEST FELLAS...EVERYBODY RIDE SAFE!!
I thought I should update. I ended up finding a local indy that flashed it for me for $75. I had to help him along a little just ensure I got what I wanted and now my system sounds so much better. I still get a little distortion from the low notes but I think I will mod the speakers pods to give the Kappas a little more air.
