Flat Response Boom Flash

The flash in my bike is as described above... 8 speakers (even tho I have only 4) Amps.... no, amps on.... yes (makes no sense). It's the old MOCO flash from 2015. I have the full BT 4180 setup, 7.1 front and MM651 rear, bike sounds awesome. I have software version 1.18.3. Tried others over the years, something always didn't work.... fade, auto volume... something. On mine everything works as it should. The EQ is 00_OFF (ON).BIN
I tried the BT line levelers out or curiosity, made everything worse... washed out sounding. I'm using the old PAC SNI-35 line in converters.
Now all that said.... it's kind of a curse in a way. If I ever have the dealer do anything to my bike I have to stand guard over the update port. I can't use the new bluetooth wireless headset system because it requires a dealer flash. If someone could guarantee I could retain the same sound with a new flash I'd be all over it. To date the user reports aren't good. (not talking DSP setups here, just flashes) If someone has gone from my flash to the JM flash I'd sure like to hear their results

When using the Diag-4-bike you do exactly the same things as with the Techno-research digital technician ,,,,,
FIRST: 4-speakers, upper-fairing, rear-pods, no-amp ,,,,,
SECOND: Amp#1 "YES" ,,,,, (instead of NO)
THIRD: Amp#2 "YES" ,,,,,,, (instead of NO)

I have a 17 Limited that has whatever flash they used when it was born. Since I have 4 speakers no amp (from factory) am I good to go? John says first is 4 speaks no amp, Is that not what I have? Alex says 8 speaks 2 amps does the trick. Since I am still learning this stuff I am totally confused about flashes. I do have a BT355. What should I do?

all J&M ROKKER and Performance series amplifier kits for 2014-2018 Harleys are set up for the STOCK HARLEY FLASH just the way your bike came from the factory ,,,,,
so are most other brand amplifier kits like believe like Biketronics, etc ,,,, stock Harley flash, which simply means that the flash on your Harley radio came from the factory as either (Two-speakers, Upper-Fairing No-Amp) OR (Four-Speakers, Upper-Fairing, Rear-Pods, N0-Amp) ,,,,,
AND your Harley Dealer CAN flash the radio to either one of the speaker configurations above, using their Harley digital technician ,,,,,, either one of these stock flash speaker/amp configurations can also be done with the Techno-research OR the Diag-4-bike digital technicians ,,,,
it is ONLY when you want to fine tune your audio system performance BEYOND the stock flash, with hi-performance components like you will find with the J&M ROKKER series, that you want the special radio FLASH configurations that we have been talking about on this thread (((that the Harley dealer cannot perform)) ,,,,,

You're saying after doing this my bike will sound exactly as it does now? If so I'm in.
Also, what happens then if I get the bike flashed to work with the new HD bluetooth headsets?

the GOOD NEWS is if you DO get the new Harley WHIM, you are NOT married to the Harley Boom/Sena Bluetooth headsets ,,, the J&M high performance Bluetooth headsets will also work ,,,,,
However ,,, in about 4 weeks J&M will release it's own dual module Bluetooth dongle that duplicates the features of the new Harley WHIM dongle, but with considerably better audio performance to the Bluetooth headsets than the Harley/Sena WHIM,,,,,,
