Not sure if it's really going to be an issue, or if it is from not re-wiring it to be on the SAT channel of the radio. I'll post something when I get it figured out.
I may also call Iron Cross Audio and see if they have had any issues like this. They are the kings when it comes to the HK radios.
Yes they are! Pulled my HU unit out before storage and sent it off to Iron Cross for backlight change & preamps. As I understand, they now sell the Metra unit as well (in addition to their own internal BT mod). I'd be interested to hear what they have to say about the CB & BT working together.
I have finally gotten my set up installed, just waiting on my lowers as stated in another thread. I mounted my amp on top of the radio with velco, cb and metra under the radio with Velcro as well and wrapped a long zip tie around the whole deal and installed it as one unit. Looks clean and installed easily. The metra seems to work as it should and has very good sq but as others have stated loses a bit of volume compared to the fm and cd.... Still plenty loud. I did try my cb and it works but I have not tried the cb and metra together to see if I have that problem. I will be riding in a few weeks and see what mine does. Does your street glide have a speaker switch?
What amp do you have Red? Any pics of your final install?
Yes sir. it does. I installed the CB and Intercom kit as I ride with groups and used to have the wife on the back.....of course she would rather ride hers now though.

Well Iron Cross wasn't too helpful. Since I did not buy the unit from them they would not even talk about it, said I would have to deal with Metra only. I'm a little disappointed about that, but I get it.
Ah yes...much smaller than the SS PN4.1000D I will be trying to shoehorn in there. I may have to reconsider and look at the BT 4180...pricey compared to the SS.
Thanks for the pics...looks good! What speakers are you running in the fairing & rear TourPak?
Sorry to hear that stang..... I wasn't aware they were even selling the metra. I will see what mine is doing soon enough and let you know.
Way pricey lefty but oh well.... Only want to do this once. Bt 7.1s in fairing, polk mm652s in rear pods and Hertz sv165.1s in lowers if I ever get that project done.
Thanks.

Well that's unfortunate! But I understand I guess. Maybe changing from the default CD mode to SAT mode will make the difference? We'll get it figured out.

Likewise! I'm only going with fairing & rear pods. Thinking either the MM652's in all 4 holes or the db Motos in all 4??
Well I can tell you that the 652s fit right into the rears and they sound really nice. I put a thin layer of polyfill in mine as well. After hearing them I wouldn't hesitate to put them in the front as well. I got mine for 99 bucks on Amazon and for that price you can't go wrong.
