Default I Need to Regroup on my System!! '17 RGS

So... Last spring I got an ARC MPAK-12 system (ARC 600.4 and a pair of Moto 602's and their harness) and installed it, then I added factory hard lowers and got a pair of HAT Imagines for them. I am less than thrilled with the performance of my system. SOME of my music sounds pretty damn good and some not so much. My iPhone is either USB'ed or BlueToothed and I also have most of my itunes library on a stick which I use sometimes.
I am not trying to have a "parking lot" system; I am only interested at loud, clear sound at speed. To be fair, my system does deliver that most of the time, but I think I have a tuning problem, and maybe also a problem with my music library.
I bought my equipment from a guy that is no longer in business. He was very patient and helpful on tuning procedures but I'm looking for fresh insight. Here are some things I've done, and some questions.
1) I was told to tune with the stock head unit set at ZERO bass (not in the middle (neutral) but all the way on the far left end of the scale), and the treble set three clicks from the bottom.
2) Stock HU has never been flashed.
3) I am setting HU volume at three clicks down from the top while tuning.
4) From things I have read on here, I'm starting to wonder if I would be better served by losing the Moto 602's and the HATs and replacing the 602's with some more efficient speakers, and replacing the HATs with some MMATS 601's.
5) I have had some distortion here and there at different times for short periods. If I had a blown speaker somewhere, I would KNOW it, right??
6) I want to stay with the ARC Moto 600.4 that I have.
7) Is the MPAK harness a problem and would line levelers be better?

Thanks in advance for any input. I have attached a pic of my present settings. the 602's are on channels 1&2.

I would say that your library is your problem. The reason I say that is some sound good and some don't. I have the same problem with mine. The quality from downloading is all over the place. As I re-read, I didn't see and bt355 line levelers mentioned. Those are a must also. That could also be your problem. I'm not sure how the MPAK harness levels your input. The HD head unit has drastic eq curve that can cause your problems with some songs and not others. If a speaker was blown, it would sound like sheeeout all the time.

As Gypsye mentioned the BT355 has been a proven product.

The tuning strategy mentioned in 1) are a bit of a head scratcher as well. Tuning should take place with treb and bass at neutral aka 0.

What T said. I started with the MPAC. I was not happy with the sound and against ARC's tech advice went with the BT LL's. They claim the resistor inline with their harness is all you need. LL makes it sound much better than the high level inputs.

So would I need two of these BT-355's for my 4-channel amp w/ 4 speakers? Would I then shitcan the original ARC harness?

I used one, and put the input switch to 2ch. The amp will put the signal to all 4 channels. You will not need the arc harness, the BT-355 will plug into the factory harness just like the arc harness does. I would take outkast up on his offer. All you will need is a pair of RCA cables.
