Im gonna step out on a limb here and predict that there are a few innovative companies that are truly getting their arms around the sled audio market and will be delivering on Speaks that meet our demands. For the dudes that ride their sleds, the unicorn that was associated with filling bags with shix, drilling holes where they don't belong and inefficient speakers designed for cages, that unicorn will be sent packing.

Just sayin!!!!

No real specifics, just a prediction.

Absolutely! Biketronics is working on it. I had a lengthy conversation 1 day with Lee Teeples, the head of R&D at Rockford Fosgate after I purchased the rear speaker install kit from them. I told him that the kits solid but the speakers were lacking. He informed me that they are working on a better motorcycle speaker system and would let me know when they were available. He also stated that they (rf) wants to be the leader in motorcycle audio. We will see. BTW I told him I was planning on the milles 6x9 in that kit and he asked me where to get some. lol

If I changed things around like I think I might in the future the amp on top of the head unit will only power the Motos in the batwing fairing on channels 1 and 2 and the ADs in the lowers on channels 3 and 4.

I am running 140 watts to the Motos right now but only 120 watts are available to the ADs in the lowers. They get louder than I can stand now (those Motos almost seem to like abuse) so I wonder if the slight drop in wattage would be worth the trade in sound quality. If it is cleaner sound that is easier to hear so to speak then it may be worth the trade off.
I originally ran my 602's bridged on my tm400x4 but found them to be to bright. I rewired to regular 2 channel mode and they are still bright but definitely better.

You can tone down the brightness a bit with the equalizer on that amp also. I also backed off the input gains on the LL a bit and uped the gains on the amp to calm the highs some on the 602's I tried. The nice thing about that amp is it is so tunable and a lot more powerful than manufacturer specs. You just don't need a ton of power to make it sound good.

The amp eq from my understanding will add a smiley face adding both bass and treble while lowering the middle. I think that would add brightness to the Motos. I am running my eq just slightly up from all the way off. Another thing I did was angle my tweets down.
